Spend four evenings immersing yourself in the endless world of letter varieties: this course is the ideal introduction for you (no prior knowledge needed) to discover your own calligraphy style with a pointed pen. Modern calligraphy is freer compared to historical calligraphy fonts, as your style is at the center — whether more playful and lively or more orderly. Both are possible! After a warm-up round with basic shapes and a brief introduction to fundamental strokes, we will move on to the alphabet. Inspired by the style of English cursive writing ('Copperplate'), we will learn and practice different letter variants in a simplified form. I will support you with practical tips and application examples. Finally, the letters will be connected, and you will write your first short scripts. Equipped with a handout and material set, you can continue writing at home. Instructor: Patrizia Burger-Diallo, BAK course duration: 4 sessions, each Monday from 17:30 to 20:00. Dates: November 2, November 9, November 16, November 23, 2026. Location: Mittelschule Traismauer, Bahnhofstraße 10, 3133 Traismauer. Course fee: €145. Please specify whether you are left- or right-handed when registering! Material costs are to be paid directly to the instructor at the start of the course. Registration by October 18, 2026.
