Fledermäuse
What's it about?
Family performance for ages 5 and up. Bats are mysterious and somehow a little like us – they fly, cuddle, and share their 'treats'. In this exciting theater piece, we dive into their world and discover their wild adventures. Bats – these cool flyers are not only active in the dark but are also very clever and fast! What do bats do when they meet in their cave? What does it feel like to hover in the air or 'see' with ultrasound? In Fledermäuse, the schallundrauch agency brings the secret life of flying animals to the stage. The dancers and musicians dance and play with sounds from real bats and Johann Strauss’s operetta Die Fledermaus. Here, we fly through the air together, hear crazy noises, and experience the adventures of the bat on stage! The schallundrauch agency is a Vienna-based performance group that has been creating theater, dance, and performance for young audiences since 2003. Founded by Janina Sollmann and Gabriele Wappel, the group collaborates with artists from various fields and brings unique, creative productions to the stage.
