On October 3rd, the current mystery dinner play will be performed at Gasthaus Kari. This time, it revolves around a mysterious murder involving the legendary composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. After plays about Crown Prince Rudolf, musician Ludwig van Beethoven, the revenant Count of Saint Germain, and heartbreaker Casanova, a work about composer legend Wolfgang A. Mozart is now on the program. "Not only because 2026 will be a Mozart year again, but because I have always been fascinated by Mozart as a captivating and quirky personality, I wanted to dedicate a mystery dinner to him," says initiator and playwright Gabriele Hasmann. "Mozart was not only a prodigious talent but also a lover of enjoyment, and an event like the mystery dinner would surely have appealed to him." The uniqueness of the mystery dinner lies in the carefully researched story, based on historical backgrounds — only the criminal case itself is a product of imagination. "Fun facts also provide entertainment, so that the evening is not only exciting but also amusing," emphasizes Hasmann. "Anyone who enjoys puzzles, detective games, and the pleasure of delicious food will find this event fully satisfying." Guests are encouraged to identify the murderer. In Vienna of 1790, Freemason Baron Leopold von Altenstein, a mysterious benefactor of Mozart, is found dead — poisoned under mysterious circumstances. Shortly before, he had commissioned Mozart to compose a significant lament, which now remains unfulfilled. During the course of the play, the audience is invited to participate in guessing, as they search for Altenstein's murderer! One of Gabriele Hasmann's exciting works can be won.
