Mediation as a Path to Sustainable Conflict Resolution

Mediation as a Path to Sustainable Conflict Resolution

Thursday 26 NovemberVolkshochschule Neulengbach · niederoesterreich

What's it about?

International studies show that conflicts can be resolved sustainably and satisfactorily for both sides through professional mediation in 60 to 80% of cases. Unlike legal disputes, which often have winners and losers, the conflict parties develop a viable solution for their conflict themselves — guided and supported in a protected setting. Whether in business or farm transfers, internal company conflicts, neighborhood disputes, inheritance matters, or separations and divorces: mediation often helps to avoid lengthy and costly legal proceedings. Elisabeth Kaufmann (lawyer and registered mediator) and Christian Hillinger (marketing/communications consultant and registered mediator) explain how mediation works, what prerequisites are necessary, and why conflicts can also offer opportunities for new developments and more sustainable relationships. Course fee: 15.00 euros.
