What's it about?
The ideal combination of groove, originality, spirit and virtuosity, with no shortage of humor. Four individualists who logically form a unit, and at the highest musical level. Four of the most sought-after saxophonists between Scheibbs and Nebraska. For 32 years, Saxofour has celebrated every single one of the approximately 800 concerts played with care and complete joy. 15 sound recordings have been released, the program themes are diverse: "our favourite filmsongs", the Mozart program "Die Zaubertröte", music for all occasions, "Cinco" with Mario Joao, "Gimme some of that" with Don Alias, originals with "horns astray" and "vocalizind reeds", 4 Christmas programs + an Advent calendar DVD, "25 years of joy and fun", "Saxo4 oparettet den Jazz" and "celebrating the joy of life" for the 30th anniversary. We are certainly still about exactly 243 kg of sheet music or 27 sound clouds away from the end of our possibilities; it's more likely that each and every one of you will win the lottery than that we'll run out of ideas. "The Rhythm of the World" takes influences from various cultural environments of the planet (and beyond) and transforms them into our kind of jazz, traditional, new, boundless, humorous, serious, energetic, gentle....
