WienerWaldBierGenuss Yes, you can also drink trees. That beer is brewed from water, malt, yeast, and hops is known to most people. How exactly beer is made from these ingredients may be less well known. And how an entire forest could fit into a bottle of beer is beyond imagination anyway. A brewer and a forest aroma expert have teamed up to combine beer knowledge, a forest walk, and fine cuisine into an exciting WienerWald experience. The event starts directly at the Gablitzer Privatbrauerei. If you expect a classic brewery tour or beer tasting, you will be surprised. From here, the journey goes straight into the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods), where the beer brewing process and fermentation are made tangible step by step: from malt tea to the finished Wienerwald beer in a bottle. Along the way, there are several stations – from aromatic-malty beech forests to sunny black pine dry forests to the fragrant wild cherry groups at the forest edge. During the walk, the tree aromas are captured in the glass and on the plate. At each station, a specific step of the brewing process is explained. In the end, it becomes clear why the final WienerWaldBeer smells and tastes the way it does. It is brewed with aromatic hops, beech, and wild cherry wood. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, fermented at 11.9°P with 4.9% alcohol by volume.
