What's it about?
When you launch a music project more than 30 years ago, name it after a mythical creature, and then also sing in your very own Lechtal dialect – then it's clear that "language" has been a theme from the beginning. "Why are they singing Chinese?" one could occasionally hear when their songs played on the radio far from their Lechtal home. Live, however, everything was different from the start: because language artist Toni Knittel helped everyone "get up to speed" with the banter between songs – and so even extreme dialect playful words like "Knoumahpatamadu" were understandable to everyone. Meanwhile, it has become known that these evenings with the duo Margit & Toni Knittel guarantee sore laughing muscles. Because in 30 years, the topic of "dialects, Denglish & other confusions" has already been processed in many songs that simply had to be pulled out of the mothball box. But it wouldn't be BLUATSCHINK if there weren't also brand new "delicacies" prepared in the Lechtal language-play kitchen. It's hard to imagine that thinking about topics like "grammar," "Middle High German," and "Knittel High German" can unleash storms of laughter – but Bluatschink are proof that it's possible. Because if the banter between songs is longer than the song – then BLUATSCHINK is probably on stage. New songs and old favorites – the "sparks will fly"!
