What's it about?

WORKSHOP CONTENT: In this workshop, analog printing using wood & lead type as well as image elements such as woodcut, linocut & so-called image clichés will be implemented. Using the available working materials and machines of the DRUCK KUNST WERKSTATT, as well as through a presentation of exquisite letterpress products, the diversity and advantages of this historical printing technique will first be explained and demonstrated conceptually. In addition, there is the opportunity to practically implement short text passages such as short poems, slogans, wish cards or typograms with the help of the existing image and text collection, to print them in a limited edition, and to take the resulting prints home. Some text suggestions provided in advance would be helpful in this context for our preparation, though not obligatory.
