What's it about?
A production by the Lower Austria State Theatre. The great Austrian playwright Ferdinand Schmalz playfully and with sharpness explores the depths behind wrinkle-free faces. Journalist Lio Laksch sneaks into the exclusive "Sanatorium zur Gänsehaut" to uncover the not entirely flawless methods there. Here, on the lake's shore, gather curious characters all willing to trade skin and hair for eternal youth: a voiceless opera singer, a beauty blogger, a pharmaceutical entrepreneur, and a doctor who, besides rejuvenation treatments, is dedicated to the naked mole-rat, which holds the secret to immortality within itself. And Lio? She also feels the pull of the dark water, ink-black and without reason. Directed by Christina Tscharyiski. Stage design by Dominique Wiebauer. Costumes by Miriam Draxl.
