For 20 years, this successful program by the century Rapid Vienna footballer Hans Krankl and the Vienna cult band MONTI BETON has regularly been performed in numerous sold-out concert halls across Austria. The musical concert spans from well-known American and English song jewels to hits and rarities. Touching and also cheerful, when the 'Goleador' Johann K. (Hans Krankl) reads aloud from the booklet 'Lieber Weihnachtsmann' (Dear Santa Claus), including letters from children around the world. Christmas Classics Extravaganza is a brilliant compilation of the best Christmas songs of our time. The show is bursting with good mood, the spirit of Christmas, and Wiener Schmäh (Viennese humor). Merry Christmas, Mele Kaliki Maka, and Feliz Navidad are wishes from MONTI BETON and Johann K. to all guests at the Wiener Neustadt Kasematten. About Monti Beton: There are hardly any bands in Europe that dedicate themselves so intensively to the preservation of sophisticated rock and pop music — without acting as a typical cover band — as the Vienna-based group MONTI BETON. Specifically, the band has been primarily dedicated for over 40 years to artists or groups that are no longer performing live, but whose music is now considered contemporary. MONTI BETON consistently manages to connect with the roots of this music and its artists, thus conveying the greatest possible message of the original, not by imitating but by humorously entertaining interpretation in the typical MONTI BETON style. In July 2025, Johann K. and Monti Beton celebrated their 20th stage anniversary with a unique event at the sold-out Vienna State Opera.
