Black Patti / The Lettners Combo
What's it about?
Black Patti | these are Peter Crow C. and Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Kraemer. For over 10 years, the two blues and roots musicians have been performing together on international stages and festivals. Their two-part vocals, handcrafted and uncensored, tell stories written by life in their songs. Musically, Black Patti is inspired by the unique blend of rural styles that originated in the USA before World War II. With their highly diverse repertoire, the South Germans present intricate and touching roots music ranging from deep black Delta Blues, lively Ragtime, to soulful spirituals. Their music moved the world-famous illustrator, founder of the underground comix scene, and prewar blues specialist Robert Crumb. He also created the cover artwork for their current album "Satan's Funeral." Band members: Peter Crow C.: guitar, vocals, harmonica; Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Kraemer: guitar, vocals, mandolin. Latest album: "Satan's Funeral" (2021), Rhythm Bomb Records.
