PETER CORNELIUS & BAND - !ZEiTLOS!
What's it about?
For over five decades, Peter Cornelius has been one of the most successful singer-songwriters in the German-speaking world. Many of his songs have long become household names – classics like "Reif für die Insel," "Segel im Wind," and of course "Du entschuldige i kenn di." In 2026, the exceptional artist will turn 75 and will celebrate this with a major tour! The frontman, singer-songwriter, and lead guitarist Peter Cornelius, known for his heartfelt ballads and uptempo songs with profound lyrics, also loved for his virtuoso guitar playing, will mark his 75th birthday with a large tour in 2026. He will be on stage with his band, consisting of bass, drums, and keyboards. Born in Vienna in 1951, Cornelius is one of the most influential German-speaking songwriters. His music is always inspired by personal experiences and social observations. "Sometimes I write and compose whether I want to or not – reflexively. As if it were the most normal thing in the world to do." Much of this can be heard in his songs. They are a wonderful array of windows, created over the years, offering glimpses into the innermost self of the man. At his concerts, you are taken as a traveler and immersed in the world he brings. "Strangely, going on tour at 75 seems more natural to me than at 40 or 50. I early adopted the song "I'm not like everybody else" by the Kinks as my life motto – as a guide. With each song, Cornelius provides energy, encourages, often makes you think, and sometimes there is meaning between the lines, leading his audience there – to the in-between tones. His songs are total works of art written with his unmistakable signature. "Over the years, I have repeatedly been told by people that my songs are timeless. I am timeless." Peter Cornelius & Band live is an absolutely timeless highlight of the 2026 concert calendar!
