With Timna Brauer Jannis Raptis Guitar & Vocals "I was so happy with my wife, with my family, with my art and my Vienna Woods. But there is a time when you live, and there are two eternities when you do not exist." With these words, Arik Brauer bid farewell when he passed away at the age of 92 on January 24, 2021, surrounded by his family, and the city of Vienna lost one of its most fascinating creative minds. In memory of her father, the renowned chanson and world music interpreter Timna Brauer traces Arik Brauer's life at the Grandhotel Panhans and reads from his autobiography "Die Farben meines Lebens" (The Colors of My Life). In these moving narratives of a wanderer between worlds, the boundaries between memoirs, contemporary and cultural history blur, bizarre events alternate with social reflections, and fantasy and reality merge into a vivid portrait. Timna Brauer's touching interpretation of this colorful panopticon provides a very personal picture of the life and work of the versatile artist. She accompanies herself on the guitar with Arik Brauer's most famous melodies, whose Viennese songs filled many households with the sounds of his street poetry in the 1970s.
