Netzausbau Trumau Sicher versorgt!
What's it about?
The path to a 'renewable energy future' presents significant challenges for society. Our lives are becoming increasingly 'electric'. This involves not only heat pumps, electric mobility, and the installation of photovoltaic and wind power systems, but also the strengthening of the grid infrastructure. Without strong and reliable networks, the valuable, regionally generated electricity cannot be used effectively. Therefore, distribution network operators Netz NÖ and Wiener Netze plan to reinforce their power grids in the region: - In parallel with the planned 380-kV overhead line 'Netzverstärkung Ost' (Network Reinforcement East) by APG, a joint 110-kV overhead line will be built from Wiener Netze's substation in Moosbrunn to Trumau. - In Trumau, east of the Hofer central warehouse, two new substations by APG and Wiener Netze will be established, along with a new switching station by Netz NÖ. - Additionally, an extra 110-kV overhead line from the new Wiener Netze substation in Trumau towards Traiskirchen is planned, connecting to the existing 110-kV line between Traiskirchen and Wiener Neudorf. This grid expansion increases supply security and prepares the region for the renewable energy future. Netz NÖ and Wiener Netze will be available to all citizens on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the event center, Dr. Körner-Straße 54, 2521 Trumau, to discuss the planned projects. Please note: There are no fixed presentation times. You can come at any time, ask questions, and discuss with the experts from Netz NÖ and Wiener Netze.
