Franz Roitner - The Safari Guide

Friday 30 April · 19:30Theater am Steg · niederoesterreich

What's it about?

Franz Roitner is a trained safari guide who spends about three months each year in the wilderness areas of southern Africa. In his live lecture, he takes the audience on special encounters in the African bush. Many of these stories are also told in his podcast "The Safari Guide," where he regularly introduces individual animal species and their extraordinary abilities. - Why are zebras striped? - How does a cheetah accelerate to 100 km/h in just three seconds? - How can a tiny insect be louder than a pneumatic hammer? Whether it's Nile crocodile, lion, or elephant, or snake, bird, or insect – each animal has its own story. Some are exciting, some touching, and some so unusual that they sound almost invented. "Franz Roitner – The Safari Guide" combines entertaining safari knowledge with impressive images and personal experiences. Look forward to a varied evening full of surprises.
