Marin Alsop – Horizons - Charity Concert
What's it about?
On October 4, 2026, the Webern Kammerphilharmonie (WKP) opens its new season under the title "Horizons" with the multi-award-winning US-American conductor Marin Alsop. As one of the most renowned conductors of her generation, Alsop has been shaping the international music scene for many years. Together with the outstanding soloists of the mdw Anja Druml (cello) and Emil Stepanek (clarinet), the orchestra presents works by Jessie Montgomery, Aaron Copland, and Antonín Dvořák. With this concert, the Webern Kammerphilharmonie continues its collaboration with internationally renowned artists, combining artistic experience with the perspectives of young, aspiring musicians. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Licht ins Dunkel. An event of the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts in cooperation with the Congress Center Baden, ORF Niederösterreich, and Licht ins Dunkel.
