What's it about?
Power grid expansion: Ensuring reliable supply! The path to a 'renewable energy future' presents significant challenges for society. Our lives are becoming increasingly 'electric'. This involves not only heat pumps, electric mobility, and the construction of photovoltaic and wind power plants, but also the strengthening of the grid infrastructure. Without strong and reliable networks, the valuable, regionally produced electricity cannot be used effectively. Therefore, the distribution network operators, Netz NÖ and Wiener Netze, are planning to reinforce their power grids in the region: Parallel to the planned 380-kV overhead line 'Netzverstärkung Ost' by APG, a joint 110-kV overhead line from Wiener Netze's substation in Moosbrunn to Trumau will be built. In Trumau, east of the Hofer central warehouse, two new substations of APG and Wiener Netze, as well as a new switchgear of Netz NÖ, are planned. Additionally, an extra 110-kV overhead line from the new Wiener Netze substation in Trumau towards Traiskirchen is planned, connecting to the existing 110-kV line Traiskirchen-Wiener Neudorf. This grid expansion increases supply security and prepares the region for the renewable energy future. Netz NÖ and Wiener Netze will be available to all citizens on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the parish center/stable, Hauptstraße 35, 2482 Münchendorf, to discuss the planned projects. Note: There are no fixed presentation times. You can come at any time, ask questions, and discuss with the experts from Netz NÖ and Wiener Netze.
