Abschlusswanderung nach Purbach
What's it about?
The final hike leads from Fischamend in Lower Austria to Purbach on Lake Neusiedl in northern Burgenland and thus forms the culminating event of a series of hikes. The full-day tour connects two landscapes: the flat Vienna Basin around Fischamend and the unique lake landscape of Lake Neusiedl, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Fertő-Neusiedler See and represents one of the most important steppe landscapes in Central Europe. The destination Purbach on Lake Neusiedl is a charming wine-growing town with a well-preserved historic old town and a long tradition of viticulture. Those who appreciate a several-hour hike in flat to gently hilly terrain and want to combine nature and cultural heritage will find this final tour just right.
