Folklore Dance Practice
What's it about?
The Marchfeld Folklore Dance Group has started rehearsals in Deutsch Wagram in the second half of 2026. We dance traditional Austrian folk dances (e.g., Boarische, Landler, Zwiefache, circle dances), as well as folk dances from Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, and dialect island dances (e.g., Transylvania). We dance for the joy of movement, but also for performances where we showcase our skills (e.g., Schloss Hof, Vienna Easter Market, Wiener Wiesn, nursing homes, etc.). We always have live music, which makes learning easier, as the musician can play the correct section at the right tempo. We would be happy to welcome dance couples who enjoy dancing; we are happy to take time to teach the dances to beginners. We dance in Deutsch Wagram.
