DIA DE LOS MUERTOS – A celebration of life when the living honor the dead, becomes colorful, joyful, and unforgettable! On Friday, October 30th, Zündwerk Living Room will once again immerse itself in the colorful, mystical world of Día de los Muertos – a festival that celebrates life and commemorates the deceased. In true Mexican style, you can expect music, dance, costumes, bright colors, and a unique, festive atmosphere! Music contribution: €8 per guest / includes a free welcome shot! OUR PROGRAM: "LA CATRINA" MAKE-UP SERVICE This year again, the two friendly makeup artists Martina & Sweety will be on site to transform you into elegant Catrinas (women) & Catríns (men) – with artistic makeup in the style of the "Day of the Dead". Make-up times: 17:00 – 21:00 / payment only in cash (no card reader) • Full makeup: €40 • Partial makeup: €30 MUSIC & DANCE DJ Manuel Matro will get the dance floor moving with a fiery mix of Latin, pop, salsa, and disco hits – no one will stay sitting for long! COSTUME CONTEST We will crown the best costume of the evening! Feel free to come dressed up – but please in theme with "Día de los Muertos". Zombie, splatter, and horror fans will need to find a Halloween event elsewhere. We celebrate aesthetically, colorfully, and joyfully, in the spirit of Día de los Muertos – we will pour maximum tequila, but no blood. THE MEANING BEHIND Día de los Muertos – "Day of the Dead" – is a colorful Mexican festival where life is celebrated and the deceased are remembered. The focus is on joy: families decorate altars with photos, flowers, and candles, tell stories of their loved ones, and enjoy food, music, and dance together. A special symbol of the festival is the "Catrina" – artistically painted skulls that remind us of mortality while celebrating life. Women often wear flowers in their hair, men wear sombreros – both expressions of pride, tradition, and festive elegance. Thus, Día de los Muertos becomes a lively festival full of colors, symbolism, and joy of life – just like at our event at Zündwerk! CULINARY & SPECIALS Enjoy typical Mexican dishes and drinks, specially created by our team for this evening – surprise yourself! TABLE RESERVATIONS As with our DJ nights, table reservations are valid until 19:00, after which there is free seating. Reserved tables will be held until a maximum of 19:15. This way, everyone has a chance to get a seat and enjoy the party.
