How well are we prepared for emergencies? And who is actually on hand when it matters? On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the NÖ Sicherheitstag (Lower Austria Safety Day) will take place in Gänserndorf. The event offers a comprehensive insight into the work of emergency and security organizations and is of interest to the population of the entire district, as the topic of safety concerns us all. Mayor Markus Mentl-Weigl emphasizes how important this event is to him: "Safety is not a matter of course. Especially when something happens, it is our emergency organizations that are quickly on the scene and help. That is why I support events like the Safety Day, which show how important the efforts of these organizations are for our entire region. For this reason, I would be very pleased if many citizens from Deutsch-Wagram take advantage of this offer." From 09:00 to 16:00, visitors can expect a showcase of the emergency organizations. The official opening with speeches and the presentation "Füreinander Niederösterreich" (Supporting Each Other Lower Austria) will take place at 10:00. From 11:00 to 12:00, Radio NÖ will host a morning pint ( Frühschoppen). There is also a children's program for the youngest visitors. Food and drinks will be available. A day full of discovery and activities.
