Komm sing mit! – Liturgical Songs
What's it about?
Music shapes our (religious) life like no other medium. We invite you to evenings where we simply sing together, learn new songs, and are happy to accompany and try out with our own instruments. Everyone who enjoys singing and making music is welcome. Especially people who musically accompany church services. Rediscovering Liturgical Songs Liturgical songs such as psalms, response chants, song calls, litanies, or sung prayers pose a challenge in church services. This great treasure is rarely used. Old and new melodies make the often centuries-old texts sound completely new. With the involvement of cantor(s) or small ensembles, a valuable addition to congregational singing is created. Not only on major feast days. This evening aims to encourage experimenting with one's own voice. We want to learn and practice new melodies and perhaps expand the usual liturgical forms musically. For everyone who enjoys singing, especially for cantors. Speaker: Mag. Michal Kucharko, Church Music Consultant for choir directing, choral singing, ensemble singing/directing, German liturgical singing, and work studies. Registration by November 23, 2026.
