Armut, Ungleichheit und Gerechtigkeit
What's it about?
An evening with Franz KÜBERL and Andreas GJECAJ. What is poverty? What is justice? What does Catholic social teaching say about these topics? What would be the requirements for our society in light of the common good for all? How do we respond to trends toward inequality? Both speakers can draw on their decades of experience in various organizations and roles. "Grau ist alle Theorie, aber eine Praxis ohne Theologie ist gräulich!" Bishop Johann Weber, Graz. Theory, theology, and practice of concrete work for a just world will characterize this evening. Moderated by association chairman Fritz Macher. Time for discussion and questions. Franz KÜBERL comes from the KAJ, was among other roles Secretary General of KA-Styria and long-time director of Caritas as well as president at the Austria level; numerous publications. Andreas GJECAJ was district and federal secretary of KAB, works council member, and served as Secretary General of the Christian trade unionists on the ÖGB board; reformulated the fundamental programs of KAB (2001) and FCG (2009); wrote a script on Christian social teaching for ÖGB & AK.
