What's it about?

About a quarter of a century ago, the pianist Johannes Mössinger began a formative journey to New York. Through exchanging ideas, the musician born in Lahr developed a personal style influenced by a blend of European and American elements. Classical music and the great heroes of jazz form the backdrop of a music that often flows into a rapturous stream. This is particularly evident in the current quartet, which gained attention with the album "Painting in Blue": drummer Adam Nussbaum and New York trombonist Andy Hunter meet Mössinger and Macedonian bassist Martin Gjakonovski, one of Europe's most prominent jazz musicians.
