With the musical adaptation of the Oscar-winning Hollywood blockbuster "GHOST - Nachricht von Sam", one of the greatest love stories of all time will be on the program at the Felsenbühne Staatz in summer 2026. The author team Bruce Joel Rubin, Dave Stewart (mastermind of the formation Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard have transformed the touching and gripping film story into an equally gripping musical, in which, of course, the hit "Unchained Melody" must not be missing. Sam Wheat is a successful banker who leads a happy life with his girlfriend Molly Jensen. One evening, Sam is fatally injured during a robbery. But his soul remains as a ghost in the world of the living - unable to communicate with Molly or protect her. When Sam finds out that his death was not an accident, but part of a conspiracy, he tries to warn Molly. Since he cannot speak to her himself, he seeks help from the seemingly dubious medium Oda Mae Brown, who surprisingly can actually make contact with spirits. Together they try to convict the perpetrator and save Molly from further dangers... Artistic director and director Werner Auer and his team will once again stage this gripping play in the imposing open-air ambience of the Felsenbühne Staatz!
