Lecture: Archaeological Investigation of Staatzer Berg
What's it about?
Archaeologist Maximilian Obermayer explored the Staatzer Berg and the fortress ruins in 2025 using archaeological ground-penetrating radar surveys. In a lecture on Sunday, September 27, at the Schlosskeller Staatz, he will present the many new findings regarding the construction history, along with a brief general introduction to archaeology. Afterwards, there will be a tour of the castle ruins to explain the discovered structures on site. Schedule: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Lecture "Castle Staatz" – Archaeological Investigation 2025 with Maximilian Obermayer, archaeologist. Questions can be asked afterwards. 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM – Tour of Castle Staatz with Maximilian Obermayer.
