For sky gazers, one of the most beautiful times of the year is beginning: The Perseid meteor shower is approaching and once again promises an impressive spectacle in the night sky. Those who look towards the northeast in the coming weeks have a good chance of discovering numerous shooting stars. The new "Umlaufblick" observation tower offers optimal conditions for this, far away from artificial light sources. Experience nature at night with National Park Ranger Bernhard Schedlmayer and let yourself be enchanted by the "Tears of St. Lawrence", as the shooting stars are also popularly called. An astronomer will introduce you to the art of stargazing and tell you interesting facts about constellations and planets. Meeting point: Kaja Ruin parking lot, Merkersdorf Duration: approx. 2.5 hours. Cost: Adults 14,- Registration until 3:00 PM the day before
