It is endangered, lives reclusively and hidden, hardly anyone ever sees it. But it is there and leaves clear traces! Join our National Park Rangers on the trail of the wildcat and immerse yourself in the nocturnal forest full of unknown sounds, in a world in the shadow play of the moon and dark tree figures. On our wildcat night hikes, you will learn what the ideal habitat for the wildcat looks like, which places the shy forest cat prefers to stay in, and how it catches its most important prey, mice. You will also get to know our research methods with lure sticks, camera traps, and collar transmitters, which are used to explore the secret life of the wildcat. The tour concludes with a night feeding of our two zoo wildcats Frieda & Carlo!
