What's it about?
Martin Spengler & die foischn Wiener, with their Schrammelsoul, have become an established voice in the chorus of the new Wienerlied. And now "Es könnt oba a ois gaunz aundas sein" (But everything could also be completely different). So is everything really "completely different" this time? In Ottakring, it still smells of chocolate, death still takes everything lightly, love everything heavily? But a new wind is blowing "drausst auf da Stroßn" (out on the street), which "waht eina de Liagn" (blows in the lies) and trenches are opening up in the Wienerlied-blissful commitment of this city. But "Es könnt oba aois gaunz aundas sein" is also a utopia, the shining of a different, better world. And so Martin Spengler reinvents himself and his songs and lyrics, charging them with a renewed urgency, partly with an unknown seriousness, partly with melancholic wit and loving longing, yes, with a bright utopia. Because time and again, the only help is to flee to each other, and so it is again only love that remains, because "mit dia is des olles a großes Juhu!" (with you, all of this is a big hooray!).
