What's it about?
The ensemble dedicates their program to the forest and the mystique it brings. It features three- and four-part pieces from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, and contemporary times, complemented by free improvisations and small solo pieces. The music revolves around nature, nymphs, fairies, and various bird songs. The highlight of the program is the contemporary piece Idyll by Ryohei Hirose, in which a rise and fall of different sounds slightly unsettles the previously built paradise. Finally, the audience is led back into the forest idyll, ending with an exuberant dance of forest inhabitants to the Tourdion by Pierre Attaignant.
