What's it about?

Between body, rhythm, and a good dose of joy of playing: Alice in WonderBand bring Balkan-World-Music to where it has an immediate effect – on stage and under the skin. The Serbian duo around Ana Vrbaški and Marko Dinjaški has been combining music, theater, and dance into a performance since the late 90s that is less of a concert and more of a shared experience – with body percussion as the centerpiece: the body itself becomes an instrument, a timekeeper, a resonant space. Their shows are energetic, rhythmically dense, and at the same time open. Inspired by the nature surrounding the Fruška Gora National Park, they create a sound that organically connects tradition and the present. Their debut album RikaTaka – New Balkan Rhythm was not by chance in the top 10 of the World Music Charts Europe. With the new album The Courage to be Afraid (release autumn 2026), they open another chapter. Behind this is a clear stance: to perceive the fragility of art and culture – and still keep going. To follow their own path. To choose connection, curiosity, and the communal. Etno zbor Ljelje is a women’s choir from Slovenia that combines traditional music of the Balkans and other regions with great intensity and immediate stage presence. Between archaic melodies, polyphonic singing, and rhythmic energy, a sound space emerges that feels wild, sensitive, and communal at the same time. The singers draw from old songs and stories and bring them into the present with great musical openness. Their concerts develop a special magnetism – carried by voices that create closeness and draw the audience into a shared musical experience. Since their debut at the Floating Castle Festival in 2022, Ljelje has been performing on stages in Slovenia and internationally. Under the direction of Jelena Soro, the choir develops a sound language that makes traditional music a lively and connecting force.
