What's it about?
Hardly any Swiss blues musician lives the blues as uncompromisingly as Marc Amacher. He has been on the road for over two decades. He became known to a wider audience through The Voice of Germany, where he reached the final with his 'MARC-kanten' voice. Since then, he has shared the stage with musicians such as Eric Clapton, Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top), Robbie Williams, and The BossHoss, without ever losing his own style. For Amacher, it's not about perfection, but about attitude and music that moves. Last year, he released his album LOAD, which stormed to number 1 on the Swiss album charts. OVERDRIVE isn’t a retro record. It’s the sound of a band that would rather play than explain. Eleven songs that blend blues, rock’n’roll, and modern blues rock with the energy of a live performance and the belief that real music doesn’t have to be perfect—it has to be honest. Tube amps, roaring guitars, gritty grooves, and stories from the road run through every track. These songs are about freedom, hard work, hope, doubt, and the choices that define us.
