BAL-CONCERT 6:30 PM: Dance Crash Course 7:30 PM: Concert Starts The Bal Concert by Hotel Palindrone, which has long become a popular fixture in the Sargfabrik program, is taking place again – inviting guests to dance, listen, and immerse themselves. It begins with a dance course accompanied by live music for circle, line, and partner dances. A dance master or mistress will help charmingly overcome any initial hurdles. Afterwards, there is the proven Bal-Concert with dance music spanning centuries and various cultures of Europe. Dancing is explicitly encouraged and can be enjoyed extensively, but it is just as lovely to simply let yourself go and enjoy the musical diversity of this extraordinary band – from yodeling to beatboxing, from old-time country songs to jazzy saxophone solos, traditional melodies, and original compositions. What makes this evening special: Hotel Palindrone is currently preparing for their new album. Some pieces might debut on stage for the very first time and celebrate their pre-premiere. In any case, cultural and other boundaries are cheerfully whistled down. World music in the best sense – lively, joyful, and intelligent. Performers: Albin Paulus – clarinet, jaw harps, bagpipes (goat, bagpipe), flutes, bombard, vocals & yodeling; Stephan Steiner – violin, hurdy-gurdy, diatonic accordion, nyckelharpa, vocals; Andreas Neumeister – guitar, vocals; Peter Natterer – bass, saxophone, piano. The concert hall is semi-seated, providing enough space for both listeners and our dancing Bal Folk guests.
