What's it about?
Maximilian Mitterwallner's organ intro begins, spherical vocals join in, but before the older generation thinks of Eela Craig, Klaus Meissnitzer's guitar jumps in with a David Gilmour sequence, immediately grooving along with Michael Meissnitzer's bass and Herbert Adelwöhrer's drums. Pink Floyd of the "Dark Side" or "Wish You Were Here" era shines through, as do memories of Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Jimmy Page, or Jethro Tull. The poetic dialect lyrics reveal that the sound collective of Amanda does not come from British but from local climes. Densely instrumented, accentuated by the vocals, which are far more than mere text delivery, rather an integral part of the overall atmosphere of the Amanda sound. A sound that fearlessly poaches in prog rock history, without regard for commerce or even the charts. Four young musicians are boldly going against the current, doing exclusively what they themselves like, with heavy grooves, airily chiseled interludes, and elegiac solos. Perfect harmony in the band structure, blind understanding. That Amanda's music develops its full power especially live is in the nature of things and has impressively proven this over the years in countless concerts.
