La bella Selvaggia - Dramma per musica in two acts
What's it about?
Antonio Salieri's last opera returns to the stage for the first time in over two centuries. After its successful premiere in May 2026 at the Teatro Calderón in Valladolid, the rediscovery of this work, created in 1802, can now be experienced for the first time in Austria. The production is a cooperation between the Antonio Salieri Institute of the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the Spanish Universidad Internacional de La Rioja, and the Fundación EME. Soloists from the institute, the Joven Orquesta Sinfónica de Valladolid, and the Choir of the Escuela de Arte de Valladolid will sing and play under the direction of Ernesto Monsalve. Performed in Italian.
