British rock and indie icons, Razorlight, have announced a UK and Ireland tour for November and December to commemorate 20 years since their hit second album, Razorlight. The album went five times platinum, topped the UK album charts, and produced a UK Number 1 single, bringing the four-piece band, fronted by Johnny Borrell, into mainstream success. The tour starts with a series of European dates from October 22 before moving to the UK on November 26 in Glasgow. The band will then perform in Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, London, Bristol, and Belfast, before concluding in Dublin on December 14. Tickets go on sale to the general public from Friday, June 19 at 9 AM, with pre-sales available on Wednesday, June 17 at 9 AM. Tickets and more details are available at https://www.razorlightofficial.com. Support will come from London-based punk-inspired sibling duo The Molotovs, who recently released a UK No. 3 album and have played a series of energetic shows across the country. The December 4 show at OVO Arena Wembley will be a celebration of British guitar music, featuring The K’s as co-headliners to complete a notable three-band bill. The K’s will also support during the European leg of the tour. Razorlight’s four original members will perform the entire album, including classics like In The Morning, Before I Fall To Pieces, and I Can’t Stop This Feeling I’ve Got, along with deeper cuts such as Hold On, Who Needs Love, and Kirby’s House. Reflecting on the album’s creation, Borrell recalls, “The album itself started to sound like a greatest hits. That’s when you know you’re alright.” He added, “Andy and I fell into this groove of writing, just this amazing musical connection. When you do that, it’s like falling in love; it’s just this mutual intoxication and we just couldn’t stop writing.” After Razorlight’s success, the band continued their momentum with the platinum-selling Slipway Fires, which included the No. 3 hit single Wire to Wire in Germany and Austria. Their last tour featured the classic lineup reuniting for a successful run supporting their best-of compilation, Razorwhat? The Best of Razorlight. These shows marked a period of reconciliation and renewed energy, with the band rebuilding bridges and reconnecting on stage. Notably, Borrell and co-songwriter and drummer Andy Burrows reestablished their creative partnership, reviving a relationship that was both artistically fruitful and occasionally tumultuous. Razorlight was released in 2006. Since then, the band has connected with a new generation of fans, averaging over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their achievements include a UK No. 1 album, a Number 1 single, three UK Top 5 albums, two multi-platinum albums, and eight UK Top 20 singles.
