What's it about?
BAKKERS TRAKKERS are a young funk-fusion band from Vienna, who since their formation in 2025 have been stirring up the local live scene with an energetic mix of funk, jazz, rap, and brass sounds. Between Gürtel venues, basement parties, and jazz clubs, the six-member formation has already earned a reputation as a captivating live band that equally invites you to dance, celebrate, and immerse yourself in groovy soundscapes. With distinctive vocals, a driving rhythm section, powerful brass arrangements, and improvisational jazz influences, the band combines different musical backgrounds into a unique sound somewhere between a funk party, jam session, and urban live club feeling. Inspired by artists like Nathy Peluso, Vulfpeck, Yussef Dayes, Streetlight Manifesto, or Rage Against the Machine, an energetic show with lots of joy in playing, groove, and spontaneous dynamics emerges. BAKKERS TRAKKERS stand for sweaty live shows, danceable rhythms, and a young Viennese band generation that consciously blurs genre boundaries. ISAAC GLUTEN is a four-member band from the Linz music scene, consisting of Axel Rosenegger (piano, backing vocals), Carla Kaltenböck (vocals), Jakob Gönitzer (bass), and Daniel Semmelrock (drums). The starting point of their work is the joy of experimenting – what seems too hot for other bands is Isaac Gluten's daily bread: funk, rock-fusion, avant-pop, or ballad material; each piece invites you to be carried away in a different way. Every performance leads through musical waters without watering down the dough. From the writing process to the live performance, the artists' spirit of research remains active. They write their tunes collectively with constant skepticism and an openness to the unknown. Despite their love for detail, Isaac Gluten still enjoys the improvisational, free character of their music, and thus the band creates an exciting bridge between spontaneity and familiarity. The result is unique live moments, melodies with earworm potential, and strong grooves that make even the biggest dance grumps swing their hips. KRISTINA SAPUTO & THE BLUE EASE bring the warm funk and R&B sound of the 80s and early 2000s back to the stage – characterized by groovy rhythms, soulful melodies, and strong jazz influences. The band combines nostalgic soundscapes with modern live energy, creating an atmospheric sound between soul, funk, R&B, and jazz. The band consists of singer Kristina Saputo, pianist Konstantin B. Schmid, bassist Earl Joshua Frost-Izumi, drummer Zeyu Wu, saxophonist Chieh Lei, and guitarist Nico Krobath. The musicians mostly come from the Viennese jazz scene, which creates a dynamic interplay of tight groove, musical freedom, and spontaneous improvisation.
