What's it about?
THE STAGE IS YOURS This year again, the qualifying rounds for Austria's biggest live act contest are starting. The qualifying rounds will take place from September in some of Austria's most renowned live venues: ((szene)) Wien, Rockhouse Salzburg, KiK Ried and, with the help of our partner Local Heroes Styria, at PPC in Graz. The promoted acts will form the lineup for the playoffs, which will take place in January/February of the following year at ((szene)) Wien. The grand finale will be the Final Big Bang in May/June with our top acts in the Raiffeisen Halle at Planet.tt Gasometer. STAIRWAY TO FAME There can only be one champion of the Planet Festival Tour. This means that the participating acts will give it their all. But how exactly do you win? It's not that difficult: the audience and an expert jury cast their votes and decide 50/50 who deserves to be called the champion of the Planet Festival Tour. Prizes worth a staggering total of around €150,000 are up for grabs: including a total of €12,000 cash (min. €500 for EVERY finalist and €12,000 for the winners), gigs, studio prizes, equipment and a full scholarship for a Bachelor's degree at Jam Music Lab University, as well as cool festival slots and gigs. ON TO THE BIG FESTIVALS This year, there's not only money, vouchers and material prizes to be won at the Planet Festival Tour. The jury of the FINAL BIG BANG also includes representatives of the coolest festivals (such as Nova Rock, Sziget, Donauinselfest, Addicted to Rock, Szene Soundgarden, etc.). They decide directly on site which performance convinces them the most and bring the acts to their stages. Reason enough to go full throttle!
