4. Festival Argentina: Palma & Sandoval
What's it about?
Nicol 0as Palma (1992) and Exequiel Sandoval (1989) are two Argentinian musicians from the province of Mendoza. They met more than ten years ago in the guitar orchestra "Tito Francia". This connection led to the Palma Sandoval Duo, today one of the most versatile Guitarra criolla duos in Mendoza's music scene. The celebrated duo is known for its subtle fusion of tango, Argentinian-Latin American folklore, and classical music. Tradition and avant-garde go hand in hand here: Nicol 0as and Exequiel present a captivating repertoire of folklore from Cuyo, with their own style and unique arrangements 03 a homage to the Argentinian guitar. Palma Sandoval has conquered national and international stages, including the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia and the Festival Nacional de Folklore de Cosqu 0cn. And they have performed in collaborations with Luis Salinas, the Orquesta Filarm 0nica de Mendoza, Los Sabande 0fos, Peteco Carabajal, Miguel Vilca, among others.
