What's it about?
Cowboys are about cowboys: the wanderers of the prairie, the adventurers of the Wild West, the epitome of coolness. The cowboy's best friend is his horse. Fascinated by the dream team Lucky Luke and Jolly Jumper, four performers examine the romanticized image of the lone fighter, the "poor lonesome cowboy," and ask themselves: does a cowboy really only need his horse and a few cans of beans? What if the can opener breaks? Who helps when things get tricky in the vast prairie? And: Were cowboys always men? The performers adopt the rugged physicality of cowboys. They take to the stage, set boundaries, practice leaning coolly, spitting, and swearing. They act as lone fighters, duel with words instead of gunfire, and ride towards the sunset. They explore the clichés of the Western, fail at them, take them to absurdity, and overcome them. In doing so, they seek a wild, loud, yet caring form of connection.
