Wimmeln
What's it about?
Bo is celebrating a birthday — only with adults, without friends. Because somehow Bo doesn't quite belong. And then Bo is given a Wimmelbuch (hidden object book) as a gift! Too childish, thinks Bo. But when Bo opens the book, Bo is drawn into a dreamlike world where the pages come alive. It is teeming with voices and stories. Each encounter tells of similarities and differences, loneliness and belonging, but also of the possibility to create something of one's own. The search becomes an adventure. Because as Bo begins to shape their own story, the line between book and reality blurs. Join Bo on a journey through a lively Wimmelbuch. A poetic, moving theater piece about loneliness, belonging, and the power to discover oneself — for everyone searching for their own place in the world. Nominated for the KinderStückePreis 2026 at the Mühlheimer Theatertage. WIMMELN was the winning piece of the Nachwuchsförderung MAGMA 2025. MAGMA is a collaboration between DRAMA FORUM and DSCHUNGEL WIEN, connecting theater creators with authors and both with their audiences.
