Der Ursprung der Welt
What's it about?
CONCEPT makemake productions COMPOSITION + DEVELOPMENT + PERFORMANCE Simon Dietersdorfer, Martin Hemmer SCRIPT + DRAMATURGY Anita Buchart CHOREOGRAPHY Martina Rösler SET DESIGN Flora Besenbäck, Ida Bekič DIRECTION Aslı Kışlal PRODUCTION Julia Haas COMMUNICATION Birgit Schachner ASSISTANT DIRECTION Michèle Tacke LIGHTING Hannes Röbisch SOUND TECH Christian Hölzel The patriarchy destroys itself through its own absurdity. Starting from the female body, Strömquist traces through human history and shows the excesses of binarism. Simon Dietersdorfer and Martin Hemmer follow the comic's mandate and eliminate themselves as well as the double-edged stereotypes. In the process, the debris of gender order rains down. From the chaos of destruction, they create new possibilities with drums, electronics, and wit. As it turns out, it concerns us all. In dissolution lies the new, which is eagerly awaited.
