The Fortress Falls
What's it about?
Two brothers are home alone for a weekend. The older brother is obsessed with self-optimization and looksmaxxing, the younger with knights, battles, and round tables. Ever since he was little, he has wanted to be a knight. Unfortunately, he still lacks the armor for it - currently, he is just a squire. His older brother, always the bigger and stronger one, constantly teases him. When the older brother disappears into a digital War Room, the younger brother follows him and thus enters the manosphere for the first time - an online world of radical ideologies and brutal body cult. Can he finally become the knight king he always wanted to be here? More and more, the lines between the children's room, knight's game, and War Room blur. The Fortress Falls is a coming-of-age grotesque that reveals how young men are drawn into destructive worldviews. THE FORTRESS FALLS is the winning play of the MAGMA 2026 young talent promotion. MAGMA is a cooperation between DRAMA FORUM and DSCHUNGEL WIEN, connecting theater professionals with authors and both with their audience.
