Raw, unapologetic and deeply personal, HOMESICK is an hour of English stand-up comedy about life abroad, identity crises, culture clashes and the strange decisions we make while trying to figure out where we actually belong. What to Expect Halil blends sharp observations, absurd stories and dark political satire as he takes you through his experience of building a life far from home. Expect stories about: - living abroad and never quite fitting in - identity crises and cultural confusion - Amsterdam's infamous coffeeshop culture - psychedelic retreats and encounters with Dutch Gurus - immigration and life between East and West - burnout, reinvention and starting over - the strange reality of trying to call somewhere new "home" With his playful deadpan delivery and disarming honesty, Halil turns the highs, lows and outright absurdities of the immigrant experience into comedy.
