Kommerzialrat Isidor Geller is highly respected in Viennese society; but after the National Socialists seized power in 1938, he lost everything. Years later, his great-grandniece, the journalist Shelly Kupferberg, discovers Isidor in her grandfather's letters and researches his story. In ISIDOR – A JEWISH LIFE, she tells of his rise and fall, from his childhood in Lviv to his arrest and death, and takes a detailed look at Vienna in the early 20th century and the destruction of democracy. After his BURG debut with the staging of LILIOM, Philipp Stölzl brings Kupferberg's successful novel to its premiere in a dramatization by Caroline Bruckner.
