Get into the Christmas spirit with a program of the most beautiful Advent carols and festive music, performed by the Wiener Kaiserquartett and solo singers. In the heated Kapuzinerkirche, the Advent concerts span a festive range from celebratory trumpet music, through selected texts, to the most beautiful Christmas songs – a wonderful way to prepare for the upcoming Christmas in a reflective yet joyful and lively manner. The Kapuzinerkirche is centrally located near the State Opera in Vienna's city center and is known for the Kapuzinergruft (Imperial Crypt), which served as the burial site of the Habsburgs for centuries. Its simple interior is also its charm – visitors are fascinated by the wooden furnishings. Combo ticket: Combine your concert visit with the world’s most famous crypt, the Kapuzinergruft. The tomb of around 150 members of the Habsburg family since 1618 allows you to experience 400 years of Austrian and European history. Admire the tombs of famous rulers such as Emperor Franz Joseph and his beautiful wife Elisabeth "Sisi," or the impressive double coffin of Empress Maria Theresa. The last entry into the crypt is at 5:30 PM, making it a perfect complement to the concert. Performers: Wiener Kaiserquartett & friends.
