ON THE EDGE - festival for experimental circus art takes place from November 4 to 13, 2026, bringing extraordinary forms of contemporary circus to Vienna - at the Theater am Werk in Kabelwerk, at Petersplatz, and in Dschungel Wien. Artists from Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Portugal, and Estonia showcase circus beyond traditional forms - between dance, concert, installation, and performance. Whether hypnotic dance acrobatics in Cécile, dadaist object art in oi+io, queer storytelling in (le/the) Pain, or poetic nonsense in GUGUS!: ON THE EDGE combines personal stories with themes such as gender, parenthood, solidarity, and nonconformity.
