Guilt Trip
What's it about?
Guilt Trip began developing their bubbling, distinctive style as early as 2015. Jay and Jak formed a lifelong friendship when they met in preschool at the age of four. Over the years, they introduced each other to their respective favorite bands. Eventually, they brought in their friends from the Manchester scene, Tom, Sam, and Lily. The band worked their way up the old-fashioned way, gig by gig, from sweaty basements to tight club stages. In 2016, they released the EP "Unrelenting Force," followed by their debut album "River of Lies" in 2019. From this, "Thin Ice" emerged, which achieved 7.1 million streams on Spotify and continues to rise. "Severance" from 2023 marked a turning point. It featured popular collaborations with LANDMVRKS and Malevolence, while KERRANG! praised their "unique hardcore style that explores elements of thrash, old-school hardcore, and compelling metal." They shared stages not only with artists from Sylosis to While She Sleeps but also rocked festivals like Download, Hellfest, and many more. After signing with Roadrunner Records, the musicians entered the studio OWZ in Clarbeston, Wales, in early 2025 with producer and sound engineer Adam "Nolly" Getgood [Periphery]. With their new album "Armour of Angels" (release date June 5, 2026) in hand, they will tour Europe in the fall — including a stop in Vienna!"}
