Wiener Mozart Konzert - Musikverein
What's it about?
The Wiener Mozart Orchestra performs concerts in Vienna with internationally renowned singers and soloists – all dressed in magnificent historical costumes and wigs – creating a unique atmosphere in Vienna's largest and most famous concert halls such as the Musikverein and the State Opera. Especially the selection of works gives the feeling of experiencing an authentic concert from the Baroque period. In the style of "Musikalischer Akademien" (Musical Academies), as concerts were called in Vienna during Mozart's time, the Wiener Mozart Konzert features individual movements from symphonies and solo concertos, as well as overtures, arias, and duets from operas, each being particularly popular and well-known pieces that delight the audience. By performing the most beautiful pieces from the Strauss dynasty, the Wiener Mozart Konzert also fulfills the wishes of Strauss enthusiasts, who are treated to pieces including the world-famous waltz "An der schönen blauen Donau" (The Blue Danube) and the "Radetzky March."
