Between Reflection and Fire: Musical Landscapes of Europe Two sound worlds, one evening: Andrey Roszyk and Yulia Zakharkina take the audience on a journey through the musical landscapes of Europe - from impressionistic sound painting to fiery Romanian color. A summer concert in Vienna for lovers of violin and piano. Debussy's "Images" unfolds a world of light and water; Grieg's third violin sonata responds with Nordic passion. This is followed by Enescu's rarely heard sonata "dans le caractère populaire roumain", before Ravel's virtuosic "Tzigane" provides a brilliant finale. Amidst the baroque splendor of the Bank Austria Salon in the Old Town Hall, in the heart of Vienna's city center, classical chamber music becomes an intimate experience. Program: Claude Debussy – Images, Première série Edvard Grieg – Violin Sonata No. 3 in C minor, Op. 45 — Intermission — Eugène Ysaÿe – Ballade for solo violin, Op. 27 No. 3 George Enescu – Violin Sonata No. 3 in A minor, Op. 25 Maurice Ravel – Tzigane Concert duration: approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
